My one goal or way of life is to continuously learn. Although always regarding IT, he has worked in a number of fields, all of which have been instrumental in helping him improve aspects of himself as well as broadening his experience and experiences in IT, from support to international work to IT in the financial industry.
My Skills
Having been introduced to computers at a very young age, I started with batch programming earlier than I can remember and so with a continuous interest in computers, was sent by my parents to learn Visual Basic (and a start of C++) through Future Kids during my primary school years. In high school I started building computers for myself and friends/family and for whomever knew I could. At the same time I enjoyed playing with sounds and audio creation tools as well as 3D modelling and some very rudementary graphic design work but the main goal having been to see how quickly I could learn to use each tool. Of course through all this I learned much about Windows and most programs in the office suite and started learning Linux and entering a whole new challenging world which has kept my interest piqued to this day. My work career however start on a marketing path and after a short period of support in London, I moved into the project management world where I am now, focussing on software estimation and general consulting where needed.

Junior PMO Consultant
- Starting as a junior project consultant Jeffrey gained experience in software estimation, parametric models and the integration of these estimates into client project and business processes.
- The extent of this exposure included Prince, PMI and SDLC methodologies on projects at financial and corporate institutions additionally helping to enhance the services and expand product offerings.
- Working with the Project Management Office within a major financial institution, he has also experienced related requirements gathering and documentation including support, reporting and process improvement.

- Jeffrey took on the role of PMO consultant and estimation team lead which involved the day to day running and management of the team and service to the client, reporting, and communication to different management levels as well as continuous work to improve the service delivered to the client.
- Updating and providing training on processes followed and presenting this as well as feedback to client teams.
- This included customizing and working with Core Teams to conduct estimation projects to produce the best estimation output in consistent “best practice” formats (reporting templates and schedules).

Managing of the Estimation service for Standard bank which included the planning, delivery and estimation of projects and portfolios for the bank.

Managing and customizing estimation service for Core Banking programme providing estimation services as providing analysis of acquired data to aid in scope planning of the predominantly SAP based components.

This is the tool that the SBSA team used to monitor and update progress on estimation requests but updates almost halted with the goal that SharePoint will replace the need for this.

Estimation Dashboard:
Dashboard built for reporting at SBSA when Estimation service was requested to incorporate management of quoting by all other Service Delivery Partners in the specific area of the bank.

Estimation SharePoint Portal:
Replacement of the Excel based Estimation Tracker based on the same design and functionality but incorporating the benefits of the automated workflows and live reporting available through SharePoint.

SME on the project to assist with project estimation, planning and scheduling.

Project Estimation Service: Process and analysis automation and report creation to aid project estimation for the bank.

Project Office Estimation Service: Working with the Estimation service for ABSA bank which included the planning, delivery, estimation and reporting of projects for the bank.

Component Tracker:
Production of the WRICEF component tracking sheet automated initially for SBSA's Core Banking estimations and is continually changing for SAP or component based estimations at other clients including Nedbank and ABSA as well as to incorporate estimation tool improvements and the flexible project environments.

In order to provide analysis on the comparisons between estimation results and project actuals this tool to provide initial export and analysis as input data for Estimate Vs. Actuals comparison at a per project level

SEER-SEM Program Builder:
In order to estimate a Program at a high level, an estimation performed at a summarized project level is often the best way forward and this will build programme estimates from an excel input sheet. Based on Rough Order Measurement type estimation but allowing for any level of WBS detail to ensure output is in a format easily usable for the Program Manager.

Resourcing Pivot Builder:
A break out from the standard estimation report, this tool focusses on extracting and showing a simple view of the resourcing graph from an estimation allowing pilotable options especially for use of getting an overall resourcing view from a selection within extracts from multiple projects
